Ce petit bonhomme était sur les feux de signalisation dans l'Allemagne de l'Est.

Je vous conseille fortement de faire vos achats dans le concept store situé au Unter den Linden près de FriedrichStrasse, les prix sont jusqu'à 50% moins chers.

You'll see this little man everywhere while in Berlin.

He was in pedestrian signals in the former East Germany.

I highly recommand (if you want an Ampelmann souvenir) to go to the concept store in Unter den Linden near Friedrichstrasse. Price is up to 50% cheaper.

On peut apercevoir la Tour de Télévision derrière

Après avoir déposé nos bagages à l'hôtel/auberge de jeunesse A&O Hostel, nous avons pris directement le métro pour aller au quartier Mitte où se trouve la célèbre Alexanderplatz.
Cette place, autrefois le centre de Berlin-Est est désormais dominée par de nombreuses enseignes et de centres commerciaux.
 Nous n'avions qu'une envie : aller manger chez Burger King.

After we dropped our luggages at the hostel, we immediately took the metro to go to the Mitte area where lays the famous Alexanderplatz.
Before the center of Eastern Berlin, this place is now surrounded by numerous shops and shopping center.
We were so eager to try Burger King !

Vous n'aurez aucun mal à trouver un Burger King à Berlin, ils sont partout ! Honnêtement j'ai été déçue. Nombreux sont les nostalgiques du fast-food qui s'empressent d'aller dans un Burger King pour commander leur fameux whooper d'où mes grandes attentes.
J'ai aussi participé à mon premier flashmob en rejoignant ce groupe ^^ C'était super sympa même si j'apprenhendais

You'll have no difficulty to find a Burger King in Berlin, they're everywhere ! Honestly I was disappointed. So many people in France are nostalgic about it and talk about their famous whooper which I didn't know, that's probably with I had such big expections.
I also joined in my first flashmob, it was so cool !

 Nous avions ensuite pris le tramway direction le musée de la RDA
Il est très facile de se déplacer dans Berlin, si vous êtes plusieurs à voyager (maximum 5 personnes), prenez la Tageskarte Kleingruppe à 15€50. Il s'agit d'une carte de transport illimité pour une journée et très économique.

Then, we took the tram to go to the DDR Museum.
It is very easy to travel in Berlin, if you're a group (up to 5 persons), take the Tageskarte Kleingruppe for 15€50. Like that you can travel all day.

Après une visite qui n'a pas duré plus de 2h, nous avions fait un tour dans le quartier sans vraiment savoir où aller le temps d'arriver à l'heure pour le check-in de l'hôtel.
Après être passé devant l'université de Berlin, nous avons atterri dans un marché en plein air près de Marienkirche.
J'y ai pu goûter au strudel ! Mais contrairement à mes amies qui ont pris celui aux pommes, j'ai été tenté par celui au boeuf et au chou poivré. C'était très bon mais trop épicé à mon goût.

Our visit didn't last 2 hours so we went for a walk in the neighborhood before getting back to the hotel.
We passed by the University of Berlin and we arrived to a market near Marienkirche. I got a beef & cabbage strudel contrary to my friends who got the traditional apple strudel. It was good but a bit spicy for me.

Nous avions ensuite été dans la soirée sur la Postdamer Platz qui offre un tout autre paysage avec ses grands buildings. 

In the evening we went to the Postdamer Platz.

Berliner Mauer/East Side Gallery

Fin Avril,je suis partie pour 3 jours à Berlin avec des amies. Je savais pas vraiment à quoi m'attendre, j'ai déjà été en Allemagne, à Hambourg plus exactement et j'avais beaucoup aimé.

Nous y sommes allés en car (près de 14h de transport), c'est plutôt éprouvant si vous avez du mal à vous endormir, ce qui heureusement n'était pas mon cas.

J'ai eu un choc en arrivant dans la capitale germanique. La vue de tribunes de stade abandonnées au bord de l'autoroute m'a beaucoup marquée et résume assez bien l'idée que j'ai eu de Berlin : une ville très hétérogène & gorgée d'histoire.

En effet vous pouvez voir la différence flagrante entre l'ancien bloc de l'Ouest et celui de l'Est.

Late April, I went to Berlin for 3 days with my friends. I didn't know what to expect, I have already been to Germany before but in Hamburg and I really liked it. We went there by bus(the journey took about 14 hours), it's very tiring especially if you have difficulty to sleep, which is fortunately not my case.
I was chocked when we arrived, the sight of abandoned stadium tier at the border of the freeway sums up pretty well my impression about Berlin : very diverse and full of history.
Indeed you can clearly notice the differences between the East side and the West side.

J'ai souvent entendu dire que la plupart des touristes ont plus visité Paris, ses monuments et autres villes emblématiques que ceux qui habitent même en France. C'est bien vrai. J'ai la chance d'habiter dans un pays qui fait rêver des millions de personnes et pourtant je n'ai commencé que à la découvrir avec curiosité et intérêt récemment, notamment en accompagnant la famille & amis venus du bout du monde. Je crois qu'ils ont transmis leur enthousiasme et leur émerveillement.

Quand j'étais à Melbourne,une australienne ne comprenait pas pourquoi je n'ai visité le Louvre que 2 ans quand j'ai répondu à sa question "Do you go to the Louvre everyday ?"

Certes, je pourrai... c'est gratuit pour tous les citoyens de moins de 26 ans de l'Union Européenne, mais non.

I often heard that tourist have visited a lot more Paris & other French cities than people who actually live in France. That's quite true. I am lucky to live in a country, that makes thousands of people dream, though I started to discover it with curiosity and interest recently. By joining my family & friends from everywhere for sightseeing, they gave me their enthusiasm and their excitement. 

When I was in Melbourne, an Aussie was very surprised that I only visited the Louvre twice. Yeah she asked me if I was going to the Louvre everyday... well no even if it's free for all citizens from the European Union under age 26.

Chartres, connu principalement pour sa cathédrale est à environ 100 km de Paris est visité par des milliers de personnes chaque année. J'y ai croisé beaucoup de touristes (la plupart japonais) et des parisiens aussi !

J'ai hâte de découvrir pleins d'autres villes & autres attractions et de parcourir des milliers de km ♡ (j'en ai bien besoin pour ma conduite accompagnée -...)

Chartres, famous for its cathedral is located about 100 km from Paris and is visited by thousands of people each year.

I met a lot of tourists (lots of Japanese) and Parisians too !

I am eager to discover new places, new attractions and drive thousand and thousand miles ♡ (I really need to for my driving license ...)
